The site you are viewing is a true
"labor of love". I began this site several years ago after taking over
duties for the Clan Grant Society USA web site, which was in much need
of updating and redesign, from the past president of the Society. I have
spent the last few years pouring my heart into this site (much of the
content was written by me) in the hopes of keeping the history of Clan
Grant alive, and making it available to all those seeking information
on their roots. There is nothing quite like the "charge" one gets when
making a deep connection with one's own past, with one's own ancestors.
Much thought has been put into laying out the site for
both members and visitors. Please spend some time looking through the
site, you will find much here that has not been available on the web before,
to members of the Clan Grant. The site is now packed with images from the Clan's history,
our art work, pictures of our chiefs, and pictures of Castle Grant and
other castles and estates associated with our Clan. You will also find
stories, poems, and pipe tunes on the site. You can even download some
unique Clan Grant screen savers for your Windows operating system that
will remind you of your Grant heritage every day. We have a message board that is much improved over the
original version though you'll find our guestbook is the same as before.
You'll need to register a user name and password the first time you use
the message boards, but it's free, and it's well worth the few seconds
it takes to enter this information. Finally, if you enjoy this site, and are not a member
of the Clan Grant Society, please consider joining the Clan Grant Society,
USA. Your membership helps to fund the promotion and preservation of our
Grant heritage, and we encourage you to get involved with the society.
The society is only as large and as successful in its efforts, as the
level of involvement of its members!
